Welcome to the Paul Hodges Trust

The Paul Hodges Trust provides grants to small charities working to tackle poverty in sub-saharan Africa. We are focussed on breaking the cycle of poverty through empowering women and girls living in some of Africa’s poorest communities. We seek out and partner with small, expert charities led and run by local people. Together we design high-impact projects, giving women & girls the opportunities, education and healthcare that they deserve.

1. Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment

How? Work alongside women living in poverty to identify appropriate and sustainable economic opportunities and provide the skills training, start up grants, equipment and mentoring needed for success.

How? Support the most vulnerable girls to access and stay in school through provision of school fees, family livelihood support and meeting associated school costs.

Over the next 5 years, we will work in some of Africa’s poorest communities to bring about transformative change for thousands of women and girls. We will do this by delivering on our 5 strategic aims.
